Document Description
On March 1, 2022, the City Council adopted a motion modifying the Tesla/Wartsila Repowering Project Alternative. Specifically, the City Council directed Glendale Water & Power to proceed with all aspects of the Tesla/Wartsila Repowering Project other than the purchase of Wartsila engines. The City Council directed Glendale Water & Power to return to the City Council by the end of calendar year 2022 in order for the City Council to make a decision regarding purchase of Wartsila engines. The environmental impacts of the Tesla/ Wartsila Repowering Project are analyzed in the Final Environmental Impact Report that was certified on February 15, 2022. The March 1, 2022 modification to the Tesla/ Wartsila Repowering Project Alternative does not result in new significant environmental impacts or substantial increase in the severity of any significant effects identified and analyzed in the Final Environmental Impact Report.
