Document Description
The project consist of the construction of a 3.5 acre aquatic center at Adams Park from 4th St to 6th St in El Centro, CA. Proposed facilities at the site include four swimming pools, aquatic center building, parking lot, and a pool equipment building. Swimming pools at the site will include an eight lane competition pool, instructional/warm-up pool, recreational pool, and a lazy river. The aquatic center building will contain staff offices, locker rooms, restrooms, concession stand and an event area. Access to the site will be via two entrances from Park Avenue. 5th St from Park Ave to Adams Ave would have to be vacated as a result of the project. The site is located in the LU zone, which is intended for parks and public facilities and is compatible with the proposed use.
