Document Description
South Coast Water District is the contract operator for a large water main known as the Joint Transmission Main. In February 2013, the district completed a relocation of approximately 4,000 ft of the JTM transmission main into an extension of Lake Forest Drive. Approximately 4,000 ft of the original 60-in transmission main remains in a pipeline easement north of Lake Forest Dr from Romano Ave to Bake Parkway. Pursuant to right of way obligations, the district is required to complete abandonment of the 4,000 ft section of the JTM by filling the abandoned transmission main with concrete slurry or approved equivalent, remove all aboveground appurtenances, and restoring site surfaces.
