- Document Description
- Porifera proposes to demonstrate energy savings as well as the reliable and economical food and beverage processing and waste concentration using Porifera's PFO forward osmosis system, the PFO concentrator. Porifera's system will also reduce CO2 emissions and provide high quality clean water for reuse on-site. Porifera will conduct pilot testing in the food and beverage industry to demonstrate our proposed solution based on forward osmosis at three site locations with independent measurement and verification. Since Porifera's system will be able to fully or, at least partially, replace energy guzzling evaporators, Porifera anticipates up to 80% savings on $/ton of water removed.
