Document Description
About 3,000 cubic yards will be excavated in the DWR right of way, Existing Conduit will be removed or capped, concrete encased, and abandoned in place. New conduit will be laid in 4 feet deep trenches. The new pump and control equipment will be installed on concrete pads. The area will be backfilled and compacted.

Reasons for Exemption
WWD is the CEQA lead agency for work on its pump in facilities. DWR will give permission to WWD to encroach on DWR's ROW for installation of a new pump. Although a portion of the work will be installed on an Aqueduct slope greater than 20 percent, no change to the slope will occur. Categorical Exemption 15305 (b) applies.
