Document Description
The project proposes to provide and install electric vehicle charging stations at various locations throughout the UC San Diego main campus, Scripps Institution of Oceanography (SIO) and medical centers. General scope of work for each site includes minor site modification as needed to tie the stations to existing power and data systems, as well as provision of electrical equipment to support unique power demands of the station. The work is being proposed in order to access incentive funds being offered by the vendor, NRG, EVGo, to install infrastructure in support of electric vehicle charging stations. The staions would support the overall sustainability mission iat UC San Diego, particularly the pledge for the campus to reach carbon neutrality by 2025. In addition, the stations would support ongoing and proposed climate neutrality research and potentially offer opportunitites to return power to the campus grid. Tere are seventeen (17) sites being proposed which are listed in the attached document which included a detailed scopes for each site.
