Document Description
The Chaparral Lands Conservancy pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 2081(a) for a project to restore five acres of severely damaged vernal pools and associated maritime succulent scrub upland habitat. Work in vernal pools will include repairing major past damage from tire trenching, removing significant erosion fill, reducing pool edge gradients, and restoring natural pool contours and slopes. In addition, appproximately five pools will be constructed in suitable soils in highly disturbed areas where original natural pools may have been eliminated. FIll removed from vernal pools will be used to create or repair nearby Mima mounds and to fill tire trenching in nearby upland areas.
