Document Description
This project includes construction of a single-lane roundabout at the intersection of SR 12 and SR 113. The project components consists of approach legs, splitter islands, center island, traversable apron, roadway, intersection widening, drainage system, guard rail replacement, lighting installation, constructing staging, site clean-up and restoration. The entire Project consists of a biological study area (BSA) of approx. 28 acres. The project will have 2.72 acres of temporary impacts and 0.03 acres of permanent impacts to upland Covered Species grassland habitat a result of construction.
Impacts to CA tiger salamander (CTS) habitat include 0.03 acres of permanent impacts and 2.72 acres of temporary impacts to upland grassland and dispersal habitat. The project is expected to result in incidental take of the CTS, designated as a threatened species under CESA. The ITP referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of species listed under CESA that may occur as a result of Project implementation.
