- Project received a grant from DWR Urban Streams Restoration Program to design and construct the project to: !) Restore approx. 640 linear feet (195 meters) of Little Deer Creek to a more natural condition by reconnecting to the floodplain and restoring native vegetation; 2) Reduce flooding impacts to the adjacent Lower Field, and general vicinity of Pioneer Park, by widening the stream bed and re-grading the Lower Field; and 3) Construct a "Roll and Stroll" trail that serves pedestrians and bikes, and enhances community enjoyment of Little Deer Creek within the perimeter of the Park boundaries along the creek.
