Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2018-0462-R1 , pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Ms. Melinda Brock. The project is limited to five (5) encroachments. Two (2) encroachments are to 1) remove Pond 1, restore the channel, and reconnect flow downstream and 2) disconnect Pond 2 from the upstream channel and reconstruct embankment. Two (2) encroachments are for maintenance and use of existing, previously unpermitted ponds (Pond 3 and Pond 4), including diversion of water from a Pond 3 for domestic use (vegetable garden irrigation). One (1) encroachment is for removal of fabric pots and potting soil from a stream channel. Ponds 1, 2 and 4 are currently used for aesthetic and fire protection purposes. This project will remove Pond 1, and disconnect Pond 2 from stream flow. If water diversion (for purposes other than emergency fire protection) is proposed for Pond 4 in the future, the Permittee must submit notification to CDFW through a major amendment to this Agreement.
