Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number EPIMS-MEN-37977-R1C, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Anarbol Lopez. The project is limited to three (3) encroachments (Table 1). The first encroachment (POD) is for water diversion from an unnamed tributary to the East Fork Russian River. Water is diverted for vineyard irrigation and frost protection under an appropriative water right (A023408). Work for the water diversion will include use and maintenance of the water diversion infrastructure. The second encroachment (Spillway Upgrade) is to replace a failing concrete spillway with a rock armored spillway. Work for the spillway upgrade will include removing the flashboards and associated infrastructure, cutting and removing the concrete bed from the concrete banks, excavation of the channel to construct the keyway and seat rock, and installing sufficiently sized rock in the sloped portion of the spillway channel at a 5 to 1 horizontal to vertical slope. The third encroachment (SC-2) will include removal of the embedded debris in the channel above the inlet, excavation, removal of the existing culvert, installation of a new culvert at least 36 inches in diameter, backfilling and compaction of fill, and rock armoring as necessary to minimize erosion
