Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number EPIMS-MEN-29078-R1C, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Mike Ahola. This Agreement relies on the Notification materials and a CDFW site inspection on May 5, 2022. The project is limited to three (3) encroachments (see Table 1). Encroachments 1 and 2 are for culvert replacement (SC-1) and culvert installation (SC-2). Work for SC-1 and SC-2 will include excavation, removal of one existing culvert, placement of new properly sized culverts, backfilling and compaction of fill, and rock armoring as necessary to minimize erosion. Encroachment 3 (SC-3) is for improvement of road drainage. The encroachment at SC-3 is to allow hydrologic connectivity of the wetland through the road crossing by installing Caltrans Class II aggregate base consistent with the surrounding grade that allows the flow of run-off and eliminates ponding of water on the road. Additionally, rock armoring will be installed at the nick point of the incised stream below the road to prevent headcutting in the stream. The permittee also disclosed the use of a groundwater well located at 40.0025, -123.7118 as a source for cannabis irrigation.
