Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number EPIMS-MEN-11382-R1C, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to David Crossley. The project is limited to three (3) encroachments. Encroachment 1 is to remove spring diversion infrastructure. Work for this encroachment will include removal of the existing infrastructure (including the spring box and associated rock), removal of water lines, and removal of the wooden structure which is supporting the pipes. Encroachment 2 is to remove part of the “horizontal well” infrastructure located within a stream. This activity shall be limited manually cutting off the pipe at ground level, or manually pulling the pipe from the ground. The pipe shall not be removed using heavy equipment, and no material (including non-shrink construction grout or any other material) shall be used to fill the pipe or bore hole. If water diversion is proposed at a later date, the activity will need to be included as an amendment to this LSA Agreement or submitted in a separate LSA Notification. Encroachment 3 is to remove an existing stream crossing culvert. Work for this encroachment will include removal of the existing culvert, backfilling and compaction of fill, and rock armoring as necessary to minimize erosion. Work will also include restoration of the stream channel and revegetation of the riparian zone of the stream.
