Document Description
The project consists of one encroachment: The encroachment is for water diversion from an unnamed tributary to Burright Creek. Shallow groundwater is diverted from a developed spring with an estimated 80-foot horizontol well for irrigation use. Work for the water diversion will include use and maintenance of the water diversion infrastructure and modification to diversion infrastructure to allow for bypass during the forbearance period. Overflow from collecting tanks will re-eter the stream channel below the point of diversion. During the forbearance period of April 1 to October 31 each year, any water from the diversion that is not needed for domestic use will be allowed to directly re-enter the nearby stream without passing through storage tanks. Water tanks identified by Department staff within the banks of a seasonal stream will be moved outside of the banks during the normal work period.
