Document Description
The project consists of two encroachment: The project is limited to two encroachments. One encroachment is to maintain an existing steel railcar bridge that was re-decked in 2016. Work for this encroachment will inlude seasonal maintenance to ensure stable banks and free flow of water in the creek bed. The other propsosed encroachment is to improve and maintain an existing low water crossing. Work for this encroachment will include leveling the stream bed strata, armoring the crossing area with 6-12" cobble, filling in strata over the top of the cobbel, and rocking the approaches to the crossing with 3/4" clean road base rock. The Notification dislocses a 200 ft groundwater well for domestic and irrigation with an estimated yield of 60 gpm. A solar pump provides 15 gpm from the well. The Notification also discloses a footbridge directly upstream of the low water crossing. The bridge is supported on both banks with rock and wood footings and an additional support is in the middle of the channel, outside of the main flow. The bridge is used during rainy season. No work is proposed by the applicant.
