Document Description
The project consists of one encroachment: the one proposed encroachment is to upgrade an undersized culvert. Work for this encroachment will include excavation, removal of the failing culvert, replacement with new properly sixed culvert, backfilling and compaction of fill, and rock armoring as neessary to minimize erosion. The Notification discloses a groundwater well of unknown depth for domestic and irrigation use pumping at 1 gpm year-round using 0.3 acre-feet annually. Based on the reported water use, this feature will not covered as a project. If water use increases it may change the local conditions and cause this use to be substantial, which would require the well to be covered by an Agreement. If use increases, the Applicant will need to Notify the Department of the change. The Notification also discloses two 12" diameter culverted stream crossings on Feliz Creek Dr which are maintained by the local Road Association and are connected to seasonal streams. No work has been proposed by the applicant, however since they are located on the project parcel they may need to be addressed to be compliant with state laws.
