Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed
Alteration Agreement number EPIMS-MEN-07780-R1, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Zachary Kuchera. The project is limited to five (5) encroachments.
One encroachment is for non-consumptive water-diversion from an unnamed tributary to Blue Rock Creek for micro-hydroelectric use. Work for the water diversion will include use and upgrades to the water diversion infrastructure.
One encroachment is for the decommissioning and remediation of an onstream pond. Work for the pond-decommissioning will include excavation, removal of failing outlet infrastructure and embankment, recontouring of the hillslope and pond basin, backfilling and compaction of fill, reconstruction of the stream channel, and rock armoring as necessary to minimize erosion.
The three other proposed encroachments are to upgrade failing and undersized stream crossings. Work for these encroachments will include excavation, removal of the failing crossing infrastructure, replacement with new properly designed crossings, backfilling and compaction of fill, and rock armoring as necessary to minimize erosion.
