Work for these encroachments will include excavation, removal of the failing culverts, replacement with new properly sized culverts, backfilling and compaction of fill, and rock armoring as necessary to minimize erosion. The third encroachment is to conduct maintenance on an existing stream crossing culvert. The maintenance project at STX-13 also involves the removal of a discarded former culvert in the channel below the existing crossing.
