Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2019-0140-R1, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Mr. Jonathan Wentzel. The project is limited to fourteen (14) encroachments. Thirteen (13) encroachments are to upgrade or decommission existing stream crossings, including culverts and a rocked ford. One encroachment is for removal of embedded debris (concrete and lumber) from the stream channel. Work for these encroachments may include excavation, removal of undersized or failing culverts, replacement with new properly sized culverts, backfilling and compaction of fill, and rock armoring as necessary to minimize erosion.

The project to be completed is located within the Russian River watershed, approximately 5 miles southeast of the City of Ukiah, County of Mendocino, State of California. The project is located in Sections 1, 12 and 36, T14N and 15N, R12W, Mt. Diablo Base and Meridian; in the Elledge Peak U.S. Geological Survey 7.5-minute quadrangle; and in Sections 6, 7 and 31, T14N, R11W, Mt. Diablo Base and Meridian; in the Purdys Gardens U.S. Geological Survey 7.5-minute quadrangle.
