Document Description
The project is limited to ten encroachments (Table 1). Two encroachments are for water diversion from unnamed tributaries to Cruso Cabin Creek and East Branch South Fork Eel River, respectively. Water from a spring is diverted for domestic use; water from an onstream reservoir is diverted for commercial irrigation. Work for the water diversions will include use and maintenance of the water diversion infrastructure, and an evaluation and remediation of the reservoir. Six encroachments are to upgrade or decommission failing and undersized stream crossings. Work for these encroachments will include excavation, removal of the failing crossings, replacement with new properly sized crossings or channel rehabilitation, backfilling and compaction of fill, and rock armoring as necessary to minimize erosion. One encroachment is for remediation, rock armoring, and erosion control where a recreational road intersects a stream. The final encroachment is for retirement and remediation of a cultivation site and the rehabilitation of an associated spring and wet-area.
