Document Description
The Project includes replacement of two aging facilities with a single headworks facility designed to: improve process performance (higher screenings and grit removal); minimize grit deposition in channels; handle a wide range of flow and load conditions (30 - 250 MGD); provide operational flexibility and reliability; contain odors within plant site; and provide an operation and maintenance friendly facility. Project components include: new influent junction area; new fine screens and screening handlings; new grit removal and grit handling systems; and a two-stage odor control system.
Changes to the Project include the following:
• Bruce Flynn Pump Station component (improvements)
o Upgrade Bruce Flynn Pump Station to enhance reliability in wet weather events,
o Modify influent sewer,
o No new emergency generator at this location,
o Demolish 398 Quint Street building, and
o no sewer construction in Evans Avenue, Rankin Street and Davidson Avenue.
• SEP 010 Influent Control Structure/Southeast Lift Station component (demolition)
o Demolish SEP 010 Influent Control Structure/ Southeast Lift Station Construct new SEP 005 – Southeast Lift Station and associated piping.

It will occur in the northwest corner of the Southeast Plant (SEP) near the intersection of Evans Avenue and Rankin Street, and on the Bruce Flynn Pump Station parcel bordered by Evans Avenue to the south, Quint Street to the east, Rankin Street to the west, and Davidson Avenue to the north.
