Document Description
The project includes flood control improvements intended to reduce flooding hazards associated with coalescing alluvial fans in the area between the Indio Hills and Interstate 10. The project consists of four reaches and includes levees and channels. The proposed Project is designed to meet the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) 0.01 chance, or 100-year, flood event thereby providing flood protection for developed and planned development areas in Thousand Palms and the vicinity.
