The NPDES Permit for which this report is made provides for the categorical exception from numeric water quality criteria and objectives for priority pollutants for the application of aquatic pesticides by public entities in the exercise of resource or pest management activities (Water quality order no. 2013-0002-DWQ). As a special district of California, Madera-Chowchilla Water & Power Authority is eligible for coverage under, and has applied for a general NPDES Permit relating to the application of aquatic pesticides directly to MCWPA agricultural water.
