Document Description
The ROD/RAP recommends no further action for soil and revises the remedy for groundwater contained in the Proposed Plan to no further action. Institutional controls (ICs) are no longer proposed for shallow groundwater at the DRMO site (Site). The Navy has determined that ICs for groundwater are not necessary because shallow groundwater to a depth of 15 feet below ground surface (bgs) meets the criteria for an exception to State Sources of Drinking Water Policy, domestic water on Mare Island is currently supplied by the City of Vallejo, and agricultural and domestic water wells require a 50-foot sanitary seal, thereby eliminating use of the shallow groundwater for these purposes.
