Document Description
Revision of an existing solid waste facility permit to add municipal solid waste processing. The existing permit allows processing of up to 3,000 tons per day of construction, demolition, and inert materials, including up to 500 TPD of green waste. The proposed revision still caps the processing at 3,000 TPD, however MSW will now be accepted at the facility in addition to CDI and green waste. To accommodate this change, a new building and subsurface load out tunnel will be construted. All current and proposed waste operations would remain in the current 7-acre permitted area of the larger Recycle City Specific Plan. The site operates 24 hours per day and would continue to do so under the proposed revisions.
