Document Description
The project is limited to routine maintenance activities, defined as periodic activities necessary to restore the Island Park Detention Basin to its original depth and maintain the water transport capacity and tidal flow exchanged via gravity flow of water between the Basin and Belmont Slough. Sediment will be removed from the Basin using mechanized equipment and sediment and algae and other fouling agents will be removed from the outfall pipes by scuba divers using handheld equipment. Issuance of a Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2014-0297-R3 is pursuant to Fish and Game code Section 1602.
