Document Description
The project is limited to the modification of a low-flow crossing to improve a fish passage at the creek crossing while maintaining the structure's function as a low-flow vehicle crossing for dry-season firetruck access and Stanford University researchers. A "vented ford" will be installed at the crossing which will allow free flow of water under the driving surface to facilitate fish passage. The vented ford will consist of four 7-foot wide bottomless culverts, whose total width will approximate the active channel width of the creek channel. Issuance of a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2015-0447-R3 is pursuant to Section 1602 of Fish and Game code, to the Permittee, Leland Stanford Junior University.
