Notice of Exemption

Exempt Status

Type, Section or Code
Class 1; S 15301
Reasons for Exemption
The project consists of installation of a CPSE liner in the existing redwood tank and providing a small concrete footing and grouting where the leaking water has undermined the existing slab. The footing will require minimal excavation in previously disturbed soil to a max depth of 12 inches with width of 12 in directly under the edge of existing slab. Installation of the tank liner will require decommissioning the redwood tank and bringing in a portable water storage tank to keep the water system functioning. The preferred location for the temporary tank is the existing asphalt driveway on the lot, however if that location proves to be unsuitable a secondary location behind the existing redwood tank will be used. Use of the secondary location will require the removal of one to three walnut trees and the importation of aggregate base to create a level sound surface for the tank. No excavation is anticipated in order to create the tank pad.
