Document Description
CDFW has executed lake and streambed alteration agreement no. 1600-2016-0184-R1, pursuant to section 1602 of the fish and game code to Mr. Thomas J. Ballanco, Owner. The project includes four components: 1) stream crossings - two new culvert crossing installations and one repair of a ford crossing; 2) diversion activities - one gravity fed diversion to a hydroelectric facility and one existing seep well; 3) impoundment - storage of water; and 4) maintenance activities on the aformentioned structures/facilities.

The project proposes the screening, operation and maintenance of existing water diversion facilities. Additionally, installation of permanent stream crossings and other remediation activities involving an existing stream crossing and an earthen dam that were previously unauthorized by the land and streambed alteration program per fish and game code section 1602. The project is necessary to protect the environment by eliminating the present adverse impacts to the stream and fish and wildlife resources.
