Document Description
The septic tank for the state residence at Pine Grove Conservation Camp has failed and is in need of replacement. The existing septic tank has tree roots intruding from the inflow side of the tank. Additionally, due to a leak in the current metal tank base, the water level in the tank will not fill enough to distribute into the leach lines. This septic tank replacement is necessary from both residence functionality and health & safety standpoints. The proposed project will replace the existing 1000-gallong metal tank with a 1,000 gallon concrete tank, which will be connected to the existing leach field lines. The proposed project consists of digging approximately one week to complete. The total proposed project area is approximately 225 sf of surface area. The project shall require no grading and only minimal disturbance of earthen material mainly within the existing septic tank foot print. No watercourses exist within the project area. No known occurrences or habitat of threatened, rare or endangered species occur in or immediately adjacent to the project area. No activity will take place when soils are saturated. The proposed project will take place on CAL FIRE owned property (Pine Grove Camp) in Amador County. This NOE is to cover one-time project work to be completed by October 1, 2017.
