Document Description
Pursuant to Article 10 of the Tulare County Ordinance Code, the County of Tulare requires covered projects to submit a Construction and Demolition Debris (C&D) Recycling and Reuse Plan with an application for a building permit. Tulare COunty landfills currently contract with a vendor that removes C&D materials from the landfills to process and recover recyclable materials offsite. The non-recyclable post processed materials are returned to Tulare County Landfills as residual waste to be landfilled or as fines to be used as Alternative Daily Cover (ADC). It is the intent of a new vendor to now source separate C&D materials on-site at Tulare County landfills and remove only the recovered recycable materials from the site.
