Document Description
An agreement between SLOFCWCD and the SBCDCWCD, on behalf of CCWA for a 2:1 exchange agreement in which up to 10,000 AF of SLOCFCWCD Table a water will be transferred to SBCDCWCD in San Luis Reservoir for calendar years 2016-2020. SLOCFCWCD has requested that CCWA treat and deliver water above the 4,830 AF contract amount. For every acre-foot of water CCWA treat and delivers to the San Luis Obispo County turnouts above the contract amount, CCWA will receive on AF. CCWA will take delivery of the exchanged water from San Luis reservoir as the demand from its various participating member agencies warrants.

The exchange is not a project under CEQA (Pub. Res. Code §21065) because the exchange will not result in direct or indirect changes to the environment. The SWP long-term water supply contracts include provisions for delivery within the SWP place of use and this is simply a change in water management operations using existing facilities.
