Document Description
CAL FIRE has a helibase at the Boggs Mountain Demonstration State Forest in Cobb, Ca. In September 2015, the Valley Fire destroyed two metal shipping containers that were used as storage boxes at the facility. The Federal Emergency Management Agency will provide funding to replace the storage boxes; one requirement of the agreement is to pave concrete pads on which to place the boxes. CAL FIRE is planning to pave three concrete pads a the facility: two pads for the storage boxes, and one pad to be used as recreational vehicle (RV) parking for visiting helicopter pilots. A septic tank and a 50 amp electrical service will be installed in conjunction with the RV pad.
