Chumash Garden Irrigation
NOE - Notice of Exemption
The purpose of this project is to provide irrigation to a native plant garden that serves as part of the Oceano Dunes District Interpretive Program. The native plant garden is composed of species that were utilized by the Chumas tribe before European settlement. The proposed project would consist of approximately 650 feet of new ½ inch plastic irrigation line from the irrigation box located between the tent and RV sections of the Oceano Campground.
Project activities consist of new construction and location of an irrigation utility extension. Minor trenching and backfilling is expected to occur in the same footprint of existing gas line and will have the surface restored once completed.
