Document Description
The project involves installing post and cable fencing in order to control access to the Steele Peak Parcel in Western Riverside County, which will protect and restore sensitive habitat. The fencing will be installed using manual labor, hand tools, and a gas-powered auger. Mechanical transport of materials is limited to administrative routes with materials transported from the route to the final location via manual labor. The project includes installation of four gates for administrative and emergency access. Restoration activities include removal of invasive species using mechanized and non-mechanized equipment, removing illegally dumped manufactured materials and structures, and seeding and planting native vegetation in those areas. All activities are performed using manual labor with transport of materials limited to administrative routes only.
