Document Description
The proejct will fund nursery operations for native plant species to treat resource impacts and support restoration in areas impacted by unauthorized OHV use. Funding will increase the manpower available to assist the SBNF in maintaining existing restoration projects by utilizing SCMF's Urban Conservation Corps to work on high priority projects across the forest. Restoration maintenance projects include seeding, planting, chunking, barrier installation, slashing, vertical mulching, signage, and fence replacement on approximately 3,000 acres impacted by unauthorized use. The SCMF will coordinate volunteer monitoring patrols that report and restore existing and new unauthorized OHV routes.
