Document Description
The County of Mendocino is in the process of preparing an IS to evaluate the impacts of adopting a comprehensive ordinance regulating the cultivation, transport, and sale of medical cannabis. The proposed ordinance seeks to establish local-level regulation consistent with a variety of state regulations including the medical marijuana regulation and safety act (SB 643, AB 266, and AB 243 enacted September 11, 2015) and the Cannabis Cultivation Waste Discharge Regulatory Program administered by the North Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board. The proposed ordinance will consist of Chapter 10A.17 of the Mendocino County Code and Chp 20.242 of the Mendocino County Zoning Ordinance. The proposed ordinance applies to inland areas of the County. The Coastal Zone is not affected.
