The proposed project includes the formation of an equestrian trail on buffer lands located to the east of the now closed Lopez Canyon Landfill and owned by the City of LA. The trail would incorporate two existing maintenance access roads by connecting them via a new trail gap segment to from a 1.5 mile trail for equestrian and hiking uses. An approx. 4.1 acre staging area, including a picnic area, parking, and bioswale, would be constructed at the trailhead with gated access. Terra Vista Way and Terra Bella St. provide access to the trailhead staging area. Use of the trail and staging area will be limited to daytime hours.
