Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife is executing Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2018-0060-R6, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the permittee, Caltrans District 9, represented by Ms. Angela Calloway. The towne Pass Curve Correction project includes the removal of two 24 inch corrugated metal pipe culverts and appurtenant infrastructure located at 36.407N, 117.277W and 36.406N and 117.278W, and restoration of these locations. This activity is not expected to impact CDFW jurisdictional habitats. In addition, the project will include the installation of two new 24 inch corrugated metal pipe culverts with flared end sections and rock slope protection within the footprint of the existing/realigned roadway. The project will result in permanent impacts to 0.33 acres of talus and desert scrub habitat from the realignment of roadways within the 200-year flood plain of Emigrant Wash. Surface flows will not be present during construction activities. Equipment staging will be located in upland locations.
