- Document Description
- This proposed project involves the installation of approximately 10,000 feet of 84-inch fiber reinforced polymer composite pipe, with a thickness of approximately 1/2 inch. The new penstock would be located immediately adjacent to, and allow the same general slope as, the existing structure. The project will result in impacts 26 acres of Mohave ground squirrel (Xerospermophilus mohavensis) and desert tortoise (Gopherus agassizii) habitat temporary impacts to 24.7 acres; the project will permanently remove 1.3 acres of Mohave ground and desert tortoise habitat. The project is expected to result in incidental take of Mohave Ground squirrel and desert tortoise, which are designated as a threatened species under the CA Endangered Species Act. The ITP references above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of species listed under CEQA.
