Document Description
Note: Extended Per Lead The City of LADWP operates the existing Haiwee Power Plant Penstock for the conveyance of water from South Haiwee Reservoir to the Haiwee Power Plant as part of the overall Los Angeles Aqueduct System. Due to a partial collapse of the penstock in 1984, and decades of corrosion and pitting, normal operation of the penstock does not meet current day design standards. The proposed project is the replacement of approximately 10,000 ft of exisiting pipe to allow the safe transmission of water fom South Haiwee Reservoir to the Haiwee Power Plant.
