Document Description
The CDFW has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2016-0007-R5, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Gaviota Terminal Company.
The proposed project is the remediation and restoration of a site that was in continuous use for over 100 years under numerous operators for oil-related operations, including an asphalt refinery, an oil refinery, a truck loading and unloading facility, crude oil pipeline terminal. The project includes remediation of the on-site soils, demolition of existing facilities, and the restoration of the site to a more natural condition. Limited active oil and gas-related facilities and equipment still exist on-site and will remain in place and in use after this project.
