Document Description
The Y-M IRWM will work with the Bass Lake Ranger District to implement a fuels reduction/fire break program on 200 acres in the wildland urban interface in Sonny Meadows. This contiguous fuel reduction program protects public safety and improves forest health, and reduce s the chances of stand-replacing fire.

Project consists of minor alteration in the condition of land and vegetation using cutting and piling and mastication of excess vegetarian but does not involve the removal of heathy, mature scenic trees. These activities will increase the resilience of the natural stand and help protect against catastrophic fire.
