Document Description
The Project would entail the installation of three outdoor classrooms at three LAUSD campuses. The installations would be green spaces that consist of trees at all of the campuses and green spaces ranging in size at some of the campuses. Specifically at Kingsley Elementary, a tree path and trees would be placed between the turf and playground areas. No green space is proposed at Kingsley Elementary at this time, however, the tree path and trees may occupy an area up to 700 sq. ft. at Logan Street, tree paths, trees, and approximately 8,040 sq. ft. of green spaces would be installed in the playground area. The placement of one green space at the north western portion of the Logan Street campus would also serve as a storm-water drainage location. Finally, at Wadsworth Avenue School, tree paths, trees, and approximately 11,700 sq. ft. of green spaces would be installed in the playground area. For the purposes of this project, these tree paths, trees, and green spaces are collectively referred to as "outdoor classrooms".
