Document Description
The project is limited to placement of four Beaver Dam Analogue (BDA) structures in the main incised channel of the South Fork American River within the historic Audrain Meadow with the intent of stopping further incisement of the river channel and restoration of the flooding conditions withint he historic Audrain Meadow. The structures will be placed by hand using a small bobcat mounted auger device. The BDAs will consist of between six (6) and twelve (12) 4 inch diameter posts placed vertically within the river channel. Each post will be sunk between 2.5 and 3.5 feet into the riverbed. All work will be completed when the river channel is dry (usually late July to August).
