County of Ventura has proposed a project to replace approximately 1130 sq. ft. of turf grass with a watershed friendly garden consisting of drought tolerant native or climate appropriate plants. The project includes removing existing turf grass, minor grading to retain stormwater, soil preparation, conversion of existing spray irrigation to drip irrigation and planting.

The proposed project involves minor alteration of existing landscaped area within the Oak Park High School property including the replacement of existing conventional landscaping with water efficient landscaping. The landscape replacement will occur within an area currently landscaped with turf grass. No protected or heritage trees would be removed as a part of the project.
