Document Description
Caltrans proposes to repair an open armored joint on State Route 4, on Pier 3 of the San Joaquin River Bridge in Stockton. All work will be within Caltrans' right of way. No new right of way will be acquired. The scope of work will include replacing both sides of the entire open armored joint. Immediate repair that was completed included removing the portion of the joint sticking above the bridge deck and bolting down its remaining portion. The purpose for the project is to provide traffic safety at San Joaquin River Bridge. The need for the project is to prevent or mitigate the loss or impairment of life, property, or essential public services.
