Reasons for Exemption
15301 provides that projects which consist of the operation, repair, maintenance, or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, facilities, or mechanical equipment and which involve negligible or no expansion of use beyond that existing at the time of the lead agency's determination, are categorically exempt from the provisions of CEQA Cal. Code Regs. Title 14. This project will occur on land that is not environmentally sensitive and will not result in an increase in traffic to the area. Noise and odors will not be generated in excess of existing permitted amounts. The project will not expand the existing use of the homes and will not have a significant effect on the environment.
