Document Description
The purpose of the proposed project is to provide protection to existing facilities by installing temporary debris racks with the purpose of capturing large woody debris resulting from recent fires within Siskiyou County. The debris racks will preserve the integrity of the structures and prevent the further degradation, and associated safety issues, during high flow periods, of multiple culverts located at Louie Creek, Kuntz creek, Tom Marin Creek, and an unnamed roadside drainage on State route 96. The racks will be freestanding and not attached to the adjacent drainage infrastructure. Each rack will be designed to allow smaller debris and wildlife to pass and maintain streamflow. The debris racks are designed to be installed during the high flow season and removed during the low flow season.
