Document Description
The project consists of a prescribed burn of a single unit of 21-acres of grass for wildfire training control purposes. The burn will take place on a private ranch located approximately 1-mile northeast of the city of Fort Bragg. The project will also benefit the landowner by controlling the spread of invasive medusa head grass. Firing of the unit will be conducted in a manner that allows firefighter trainees to utilize direct attack wildland firefighting techniques. Burning will be conducted on a permissive burn day, as determined by the local air quality management district.
